How You Come Across

Signals We Detected

    Why use this tool?

    Reads what words can't

The same sentence sounds completely different depending on tone. We analyze the acoustic layer — pitch, energy, rhythm, pauses — not just the words.

    Full tone spectrum

Beyond basic emotions. We identify tones like condescending, passive-aggressive, performative, detached, commanding, pleading, and over a dozen more.

    Practical and private

Works on any audio — mic recording or uploaded file. No signup needed. Your audio is processed in real time and discarded.

    FAQ

How does the tone analyzer work?

The tool analyzes acoustic signals in your voice: pitch contour (rising or falling), energy level and how it shifts, speaking rate, pause patterns, vowel length, and word emphasis. These combine into a tonal fingerprint. Different tones have different acoustic signatures — sarcasm sounds different from sincerity even when the words are identical.

    What tones can it detect?

The tool covers a wide spectrum: confident, sincere, warm, enthusiastic, calm, bored, anxious, emotional, condescending, sarcastic, passive-aggressive, commanding, pleading, performative, detached, passive, and more. It always returns a primary tone and up to three secondary tones.

Is my recording stored or shared?

No. Your audio is processed for the analysis and never shared. You don't need an account to use the tool.

    Is it really free?

Yes. Completely free with no signup. There's a fair-use daily limit per IP to keep it responsive for everyone.
