How to Connect AnyToSpeech to ChatGPT

Set up AnyToSpeech in ChatGPT

Custom connections are added from ChatGPT on the web. Once set up, they also work in the ChatGPT desktop and mobile apps.

  1. Turn on developer mode

    In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps (called Apps & Connectors on some accounts), scroll to Advanced settings and switch Developer mode on. On Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may need to allow this first.

  2. Create the AnyToSpeech app

    Back on the Apps page, click Create. Name it AnyToSpeech, set Authentication to OAuth, paste the server URL below, tick I trust this application and click Create.

  3. Sign in and approve

    ChatGPT opens the AnyToSpeech sign-in page. Log in (or create a free account), review the permissions and click Allow.

  4. Use it in a chat

    Start a new chat, click + in the message box, choose Developer mode and turn on AnyToSpeech. Now ask for audio. ChatGPT asks you to confirm before it runs anything that uses credits.

Does this work on ChatGPT Free?

Not yet. OpenAI only allows custom connections through developer mode on paid plans (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu). Free users can still use AnyToSpeech directly.

Is AnyToSpeech in the ChatGPT app directory?

Not yet. Until it's listed, developer mode is the way to connect. Once it's listed you'll be able to connect in one click.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. You need to add the app on the web first. After that it's available in the ChatGPT mobile and desktop apps on the same account.

How do I disconnect?

Remove it in ChatGPT's Apps settings, then click Disconnect next to it under Connected apps on your AnyToSpeech Integrations page. Access stops immediately.
